"The thrill was gone" that sums up professional sport, you can't 100% trust anything you see: fixing, doping, whatever...so maybe, unless you're under a kid, professional sport really isn't much worth caring about, mostly circus. Down the local authority park on a Saturday afternoon, that's where we'll find 'sport' as opposed to 'entertainment'.
