giant defy 0 or defy 1

hi there folks hope you are all well ! i have a defy 1 on order and my local bike shop said about a defy 0 yesterday is it woth the extra £200 or should i stick to a defy 1 ????? any help apreciated :D

    If you can afford that extra 200 then yes go for it. It will remove the desire to upgrade later and it is nice to know you have the best equipment on your bike. Otherwise you may regret it.

    If you get the 1 you will always think 'I could have had the 0' .

  • I was in the same position, bought the zero, when I got it thought it was only £100 more so not bad at all for not far off a full ultegra groupset. The only thing I want to upgrade is the wheel set, which feel like they let the bike down a bit.

    Given that the frames are identical (I think?), can't help but wonder whether a defy 1 with a £200 wheelset might be better value than a 0?

    Only thing is, as above, if you're anything like me you would buy a 1 eventually upgrade it to 0 spec. Then it will annoy you that it has a 1 on it. Hmmmm... buy the 0 and some wheels!
