Best bike shop in the north west

I am looking to go for a drive out tomorrow and get some SPD shoes and a helmet and maybe a few other bits.

Where would you say the biggest or best shop is to get these types of things. my LBS does not carry shoes, or a huge range of helmets.
What would you say is the best bike shop in the north west?
Lancashire preferred.

    Lanc wise you could pre order from Ribble and collect from there. There's also Paul Hewitt although I've never been myself.

    I have been to ribble cycles. Problem is I want to try the items for size

    Hewitt, Merlin and Ribble are all within 15mins of each other... I'd try Hewitt first-amazing shop.

    Just been on the website. Hewit does look good

    Go to hewitts in leyland. They will have everything u need!!!
