So who is Dr Leinders going to implicate?

Brailsford insisted Sutton – who is understood to be talking to rival overseas teams – had not been shifted as a result of the doping policy and claimed the decision was due to team “evolution”.

“What was actually happening in terms of Shane’s head coach role is that, as the team was evolving, he had a title that didn’t fit his job,” Brailsford said.

“It’s making sure that there’s clarity and function around job description. Sometimes you create a structure and you hope that it works. It’s like laying a garden path. You can put your paving stones down where you want people to walk, but if there’s a shorter way of walking, they will walk where they want to walk.

I don't think you could get a clearer admission of guilt than that.

Sutton and Wiggins were talking short cuts and were redistributed to other duties.

    Trev, you've cracked the case.
“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!
  • Dave B spouts some sh1t and that garden path analogy takes the cake!

He hired a doping doctor and Mick Rogers who by his own admission is possibly not as clean as one would believe.

I don't doubt that Brad is clean but some of the Sherpas and this dodgy doc make the tour team seem less than squeaky clean.

    Based on what?

That's the word from people who know. People close to the team.

Brailsford does not have a good record at getting the truth so far, perhaps this has something to do with his recent comments.

Drawing parallels to Lance Armstrong's recent confession, Brailsford said of Leinders: "Hindsight is a brilliant thing, and what we've all learnt is pretty horrific. Had we known then what we know now [about Leinders], we wouldn't have touched the guy for sure.

"We went through what we thought was the right procedure - we interviewed the guy, we sat down with Steve (Peters, Sky's Psychiatrist) and it's well documented what we did. Had we have had hindsight we wouldn't have done it."

Brailsford only likes 25% of people to tell the truth. The other 75% he thinks should keep schtum.

Hmmm, now I wonder who Doug Whiting could be...?

Tell me, Tr...Doug. What is your opinion on Dr Andrew Coggan?

If he had called himself Doug the Mug at least it would have shown a sense of humour.
