    Given that it was in Belgium, he could well have been through a number of trenches :)

    Yup, I think this was taken after 1991 Paris Roubaix.

    Great picture, Lemond was my hero back then

    So bitter-sweet. I love LeMond, but I love Kelly more. I could weep that Kelly missed out on that Worlds.

    Bit worried that you have a collection of photos of male cyclists in the showers! I tried to get similar from the ladies showers at the local swimming pool and now have to sign a register every day.

    If you had a photo of Bertie in the showers then FF would definitely be all this thread (quite possibly literally!) but as he's a True Champion he stays well clear of 's**tty little races' like P-R :wink:
