Chainring question

Hi all
I have a 2 X 10 36/24 Sram chainset.
I need to replace the 36t chainring.
Would a 38t be too big or could it work?
Cheers

14t difference should work fine.0

Chain may need lengthening and front mech may need changing.....Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
