Uni meh today, hockey tour starts this evening until Sunday. No idea where it's going but I need the break. Superbitch is driving me up the wall, it's getting pretty unpleasant in the house so just need to get away, then come back with a vengeance

Cambridge all week today. I may as well talk nonsense as well as write it. Doing a big database match using some clever software and will aim to make it last 6 hours whilst I've actually completed the job - on Dec 18th!

A perfectly good morning has been ruined already be the total ineptitude of some people. But enough of that.

Get through today then it is go karting, bowling and pub tonight as a minion is leaving. Get through half a day tomorrow then I'm off to Borovets skiing for a week. I'll keep that thought in mind today to help see me through.

    Later......

Penultimate Thursday at work. Better do some handover notes etc...or something.
Gym later and then hoping for insomnia free sleep.

Probably heading to Cannock on Saturday, but this means I have to clean my bike.. or at least the drive train...

    BLOODY ROYAL MAIL

how crud are they, today i was expecting packages, 2, which turned into 3. Firstly when my turbo trainer arrived, the clamp for the resitance setting was broken, nothing major, a manufacturing fault that wasn't noticed as it was boxed up, instead of packaging the whole thing up we came to an agreement thatthey could just send me a new clamp for it, which was done prompty, only for it to arrive smashed into several pieces, I presume the bike shop wouldnt send it out like that.

Secondly, my D2B stuff was sent out in two packages for some reason, perhaps different warehouses, they both consisted of two tshirt inside each. One of these has been delivered, the other according to royal mail's website has attempted to be delivered, and couldnt so has gone back to the depot, although no card has been provided. Now we only get one post per day so how have they attempted to deliver it if they succesfully delivered the other?

Bloody teachers saying they can't take time off in term time to go to a festival and being generally whiny! Yet if it snows they are more than happy to stay at home while the rest of us have to haul ourselves into work. Argh!!!

To be fair, they can't. :P

I'm support staff in a school and can only get holidays in term time if I beg.

I'm not going to argue with you on the whiny point though!

Well they get half the sodding year off, the least we can expect them to do is actually bother working when they're meant to.

I have to disagree, its a bloody pain, mrs Gazlar is a teacher so only gets the school hols off, and as a result is missing my best mates wedding. I find it hard to get the school Hols off as our company give preference to workers with kids, forgetting the fact that they can actually take the kids out of school, it makes my life a blooming nightmare. having lived with one for 8 years, I would not be a teacher for all the money in the world the hassle and the workload they get

  • Urgh! Finally got round to fitting new pads to the Juicy 3s on the hopper. God I'd forgotten how completely shiyte that old avid pad fitting system was and how tight superstars pads are. Took about 30min of me swearing at it and throwing stuff round the garage (only then realizing I needed that bit and spending another 10min looking for it) before I got them sorted.

Thing is, once they're working, they're actually much better than I remember them.
