Campy 9 speed shifters/chainsets

Hi,

I'm currently running my commuter with campag 9 speed shifters, and a 9 speed triple chainset. Could I change the chainset for a 9 speed compact without having to swap the shifters too?

    No problem, you just end up with a few extra unused clicks on the front shifter
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    You might need to change the bottom bracket too if it's the old square taper - to one with a narrower spindle.
