Bradford through to league cup final

Good news story on all the sports pages.
Devil is in the detail though. A club that has twice been in financial trouble in the last 10 years was on course to overspend by £600K on wages this season.
No longer a problem as they have more than covered that with their cup run but is it just another example of seriously dodgy economics at play. No different from the bankers really.

Great for Bradford but each year I become less and less interested in this competition, I think its time it got scrapped to allow more space in the schedule for a winter break0

I actually hadn't realised they had dropped so far down the leagues. I thought I'd misheard when they called them a 4th tier side.0

Yes Swansea do keep possession of the ball really really well, but they won't find it as easy to play like that at Wembley as the ball boys will be neutral! Bradford might have a half a chance!0 -
Bradford beat 3 premier league teams so far so it's not a forgone conclusion.0

Even as an Arsenal fan I have to disagree with this. Bradford beating the odds to get to the final is what the competition is all about. Sure, premier league sides don't take it as seriously as the league, european competitions or even the FA cup, but it's both a massive occasion for lower league sides to host/visit the 'giants' of English football, and also offers them a vital revenue stream that helps them keep in touch with bigger clubs.0
