OK advice please!! Starting to get fed up of not using the top end of my gears have a 2x10 with 42/27T chain rings. Am not really using the top 6? maybe 5 or 4 but have no clue what to look at to give me one or 2 easier gears for climbing (the other end of the spectrum) and still not have a massive overlap. Next question is from this bike

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... 65499#tab2

can I look at a "double and bash" rather than the standard 2 rings I have at the moment and what would that require me to change?

Many Thanks

The cranks use a 3 bolt layout, so to change either the ratios to smaller chainrings or fit a bash you'll need to change te whole crank, afaik there is nothing you can do about it I'm afraid without changing the cranks
