Truvativ fire x crankset issue

HELP!
just replaced GXP bottom bracket on my 2011 cannondale badboy ultra with a direct replacement and the crankset doesnt seem to fit anymore.

It was a direct replacement, cups, spacers ect!

The drive side of the axel seems to be lose in the cup! there is a plastic ring that had worn but the new cups came with anotherone so i replaced it!

Am I missing something easy or do the crank axels wear out?
there is definate play in the driveside from the axel and not the cups!!

help any suggestions?
is it just time to bite the bullet and repalce the whole lot with a deore crankset with matching BB cupS as the teeth on the chainrings are worn!???

    I got the SRAM GXP Team BB.

    Im sure its the correct one but there is a great deal of play in the axle!!

    any ideas?
