Cateye HL-EL135 battery life

Hi
I am not sure if I have a faulty unit, but my cateye HL-EL135 is getting through batteries at a rate of knots.
I use it on flashing mode, and only use it for about 2 hours a day, but reckon its sucking up a set of batteries every 3 weeks or so. (Duracells)
Does that sound wrong?

The cold will help to drain the batteries as well, but I have no experince of Cat eye lights so what do I know."If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."

3 weeks is good. Use rechargeables. My lights eat 4 AA's in 5 hours constant use - that's because they are Hope 1's and are way brighter than the Cateye.
I only let my rear 1w lights run for a few days before recharging !0 -
Yeah 3 weeks is fine.
Get these.

I use the same for going through town and I probably get about 5 weeks use out of it using it on solid for 1 - 1.5 hours per day on average.0
