Has anyone got one of these. Looking at getting one and just after opinions. Is it any good up against garmin 800, also do they have any compatibility with android tablets?

I bought a Rider 50t (with HR and cadence sensors) a few months back. I have been pretty impressed so far. The firmware has been updated by Bryton at least once since I've had it, and the Internet based software (brytonbridge) has also been improved. Screens offer good customisation, and I'm now using a combined ANT+ speed and cadence sensor so I can also use it on the indoor turbo trainer. Always picks up the sensors quickly and GPS signal is also quick to pick up. I got mine a lot cheaper than a Garmin 800 when Merlin Cycles had them on offer. Would recommend...
can't offer any advice on compatibility with android tablets, although I think the BrytonBridge software prefers Google Chrome. If that is on your tablet device and you have a USB port you should be good to go? Bryton have reasonably good online support, so maybe drop them a line with the query.Titus Silk Road Ti rigid 29er - Scott Solace 10 disc - Kinesis Crosslight Pro6 disc - Scott CR1 SL - Pinnacle Arkose X 650b - Pinnacle Arkose singlespeed - Specialized Singlecross...& an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string...0 -
I've got one and think its great - cant fault it. Re Android tablets (assuming no USB) if you upload to laptop/pc you can always login to see your rides on the tablet (Strava or Bryton website).
Definitely wouldnt pay extra for the Garmin 800 - IMHO with Garmin you are paying for the brand. In the early Bryton days they were way behind Garmin but now they run them very close, but at a much cheaper price point.
Go on - buy one!Sensa Giulia 1050 -

In the market for one myself.... not sure to get basic or the one with the OS maps on.0

yeah, was miffed when I saw the o/s version had come out, but in use the basic maps seem ok to me. Actually I'm surprised how little I use the maps, but they are handy if you plan a route that is perhaps a little different from your regular training routes.Titus Silk Road Ti rigid 29er - Scott Solace 10 disc - Kinesis Crosslight Pro6 disc - Scott CR1 SL - Pinnacle Arkose X 650b - Pinnacle Arkose singlespeed - Specialized Singlecross...& an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string...0

Not sure the extra warrant is though, asI don't really do off road MTBing just the usual paths etc, but wanted it more for the road nav.0

had mine for about 16 months, no problem, longest ride 10 1/2 hours and battery was fine. Don't use the route thing often, but when I do it's good. Would buy again.0
