Been waiting ages for a pair of the new Vittoria Open Pave clinchers in 27mm flavour. Anyone know if they're out yet, or anywhere that might have them? Tried googling but no joy, although I am quite a techno-phobe and there's probably loas of places that have them!

Nice to see the green has gone back to the sides again....
I haven't seen them imported in the 27s and most online sites seem to have only 24s0 -

Was thinking of getting the 27mm here but already have 4 other spare tyres atm.0 -
I got my stock of the new 25's and 27's today so if my little shop has them surely others will too. The 24's are the old version. the new version is 25mm now. I am riding on the new tubular version and the grip on these is fine so I assume the clincher version will be the same (however the green strip is on the centre on tub version). The green maybe painted on rather in the rubber mix. Conti are going to do this on a new tyre they are releasing this year as they can't do colours with the black chilli compound.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

I have some 25mm on order from Cycling Bargains, and they reckon their suppliers should have them in mid/end of next week.
BTW, if these guys are your LBS, then lucky you. They couldn't be more friendly and helpful.0 -
How new is new? I have Open Paves 27c on my SS here in Amsterdam (lots of wet cobbles and pave) Bought them from Wiggle (2-4weeks delivery) just before Xmas and they are the "newer" green sidewall version (also have the 25c on my Scott Foil). Epic grip - not sure they're the fastest tyre but you won't fall off!ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0

Just mounted the new 27mm open Pave on an archetype Paolo and it is 27mm wide (26.6mm to 27mm). So now I need a pair.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

Too small... I am looking for somethnig super flexy for Paris-Roubaix, but 27 mm is too small... I want to run 60 PSI... I think I'll nick my wife's Paselas... proper tyres

I love them too... but they are massive!left the forum March 20230 -
It is a shame there is limited choice in skinwalls. all my favourite tyres are not skinwalls/tan. Maybe I need new favourite tyres.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

The Pasela are nice... if you go for a smaller size they even look more appropriateleft the forum March 20230 -
Has anyone used Challenge Paris Roubaix's? Apparently they're around 31mm in a wide rim, how does the ride compare to the pave's?
Also are 23mm tubes fine to use, specifically latex?0 -
Really tempted by the Pasela for my old 27" wheel bike, as there £16 atm.0

Yeah... there are two types... I've got the more expensive folding ones... the wired ones are a bit heavier, but otherwise the same, I believe... they are nice... today I gave them a good bombing down the A 4020 and they accelerate just as fast as my Corsa tubs...left the forum March 20230 -
Are the Open Pave's fairy hard wearing tyres?
Am I likely to find them wearing out after a couple of thousand miles or so?0 -

No and yes...left the forum March 20230 -
They are are high TPI light weight tyre for its width. They cannot be hard wearing and the high TPI limits there puncture resistance but they are tyre that is comfotable. If you want hard wearing then gator skin hardshell or marathon Plus. There are other similar tyres but they are low TPI and heavier and far less comfortable in the same/similar width.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0
