Hi
Bought myself a Carrera subay last summer
Bought some schwalbe black jacks and cheap suspension forks suntour xcm 80mm as i found tow path type riding safer
Just bought myself a second hand GT Avalanche 2.0 2009 hydraulic disc brakes
http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/forums/m ... c-2009.jpg
Can't get out on it for all the snow though
Probably going to want some better forks for it,but for now i've ordered a hard spring to stiffen then up a bit,as they are very soft with the soft spring

1968? So Cooldad and I can both call you young!
Nice bike, if bar ends work for you, that's great, take a little time to get them at the best angle for you.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
I have the same GT and i also upgraded to mx comp airs. A great mod the difference is unreal!0

And I got my Avalanche off eBay about a year ago... it's now done 1,500 miles, most of them in mud and/or rain. It's a great bike... and if one test ride is anything to go by, it's now even better with some Rebas on it. If only I were a great rider.
I don't remember much of 1968 - but I do remember watching the moon landing the next summer.Vitus Sentier VR+ (2018) GT Grade AL 105 (2016)

You just keep cutting them down until you stop smashing your pinkies on passing trees.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Wrong Newcastle. A typical Newcastle trail here would be scary orange, loose and probably drunk.I don't do smileys.
