New Wheels, Weights and Rims advice

Hi, i was looking at investing in new wheels, which will then free up my current wheels for my current project. I'm currently riding on some Rodi DH wheels which weigh a tad over 2.5kg without tyres, cassette or rotors. They're heavy but they're bomb proof and haven't needed truing since I got them 2 years ago. I'm interested in these: http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_ ... cts_id=496
They seem like a bargain, though I appreciate superstar have a shady reputation.
My question is about the rim choice. The Stans Flows will weigh in at about 1900g and the crests at 1650g, obviously both are lighter than my current wheelset, but i'm not sure which i should go for. I tend to run fat tyres and ride AM mostly. Is 250g on a wheelset particularly noticeable?
Thanks for reading

Superstar have a very good reputation. Read some posts and you'll see they are regularly recomended.
The weight will make a difference, but depends what you ride.I don't do smileys.

there's a review on superstars own website challenging the build of this Wheel set, I've bought from then before and I'm happy with everything I've had off them but i realise they seem to have upset quite a few people. i weigh about 85-90kg without gear and ride all mountain mostly but do a bit of , the bike is a Commencal meta.0

See I sent mine back last weekend as they were falling apart after only a few rides. I'm not impressed, but i'm prepared to let them fix it. My only problem is I never get replies from emails - only through phone calls.0

IMHO leaving both good and bad reviews on their site shows integrity, which is exactly the opposite of shady.I don't do smileys.
