Afternoon All,

First time post here, so thanks for any advice in advance.

I am looking at purchasing a turbo trainer to use with my felt qx-85 hybrid but wanted some advice on turbo specific tyres. It seems that turbo trainer tyres can only be purchased in 700x23 or for mountain bike size.

I currently have 622x19 rims and wanted some advice on whether a 700x23 would work ok? I have had a look at the sheldon brown sizing guide and it suggests that it should be 28+ but did recognise that the guide was fairly conservative.

So for solely use on the turbo trainer do you think a 700x23 would work alright on 622x19 rims?

Thanks

700c is the french method of quoting sizes (which seems to have been almost universaly adopted) and 622mm is the actual size.

    A 23mm tyre is fine on a 19mm rim.

    So Yes.
    Yellow is the new Black.
