Any ideas in helmets for larger oval heads without the mushroom look ??
I've tried on the Specialized & Giro range but i end looking like Marios mate.

Any ideas on other helmets ?

Most slimline looking I have seen are KASK.

The Mojito is particularly nice fitting too (for me).

Oooh, good tip off. You can pay more than half that for a set of replacement pads! Just ordered a medium - if it's within half a mile of being as good as my Mojito I'll be happy enough with it.

The last thing you want is people going "Oh yeh your lid, it's like a Mojito but not a Mojito" :-)

Must check out the Kask - I currently have the Giro Aeon which I have found to be the most comfortable helmet I've owned. Unfortunately there is more than a hint of mushroom about it!!

Yup, Mojito is the way to go.

Are you sure it's not all in your imagination? None of us looks particularly fetching in our lids!

My brother has an unfeasible large dome, but looks just fine in his Specialised s-works helmet.

You should see me in Specialized helmets. "Special" doesn't even begin to describe how ridiculous I look.

Exactly, if you've got a big head already you don't want it doubling in size with a mushroom on top.
Cycle Surgery probably have it right, I've been in 2 and none of them have mirrors next to their helmets.

Good call on going for a Mojito obviously but did you have to steal it from the bloke in the SRC jersey behind you?

Actually, surprised at the mushroomyness of the Specialized lid. I had a cheap Specialized lid when I hired a bike in Colorado the year before last. It was remarkably un-mushroomy - I was quite impressed!

I used the Specialized helmet for one more race after that one. The picture of me finishing my second race looked so silly that I couldn't bear using it again.

I think the small Specialized helmets look a bit mushroomy (though not quite as bad). I only fit in the Large-sized ones which as above are horrible. The large mojito is incredibly comfortable and looks way way way better and smaller.
