Ooh, looks like I'm selling the Cube already.

So on Tuesday morning the Cube turned up, and I lurved it and hugged it and licked it and told the missus to sleep on the sofa.

But today browsing eBay for some bottles and cages, I notice I now appear to be selling it.

Would you bid on it?

Feedback of 1, done 70 miles on a £930 bike, and starts the bidding at £90?

Fecker.

    ????? Im confused
  • someone has used his photo to create an ebay ad, possibly for a bike they don't actually have. I'd report it to ebay pdq.
  • Someone has used my photo on their listing. My heart actually skipped a beat when browsing ebay - last thing you expect to see if your own bike on there.

The other thing I've just noticed is that they've listed theirs (if it even exists) as a Cube Peloton Race - which is an entirely different colour scheme and spec from the Pro.
  • Well there's not a surprise - eBay 'report listing' option has nothing for stolen or imaginary item...

I always report stolen photographs on Ebay.

I had someone list their item three times with my photos before they finally got the message and took their own. It was a problem because I was selling several of the same item, and people could be confusing my items with theirs in the listings.

The older I get, the better I was.

  • What option/category did you use to report them?

They must have nabbed the photo from here, as it doesn't show up on Google image search.

How much would you take for a buy-it-now option? Would do me for a cheap roller hack/turn it into a fixie. :D

people should learn how to watermark their pics when they publish them online. Would stop this happening.

I had the same issue with images when I was selling a Sugino chainset. Using the 'Ask Seller Question' option I've asked why they are using somebody else's image.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

  • I didn't in the end. Found some Cube overshoes which are possibly the most over the top hideous items this side of team kit.

So, of course, I had to have them.

Those over boots are truly horrendous. They would go perfect with my shirt and mits my wife bought me!!
  • Indeed.

Which is exactly why I got them - they're so awful, so very 1980s German.

Now I just need to grow a mullet and rig up a stereo on the bike playing some Hasslehoff.

  • Nothing can touch the awfulness of those Discoboots.

Bottle cages will be when the weather warms up sufficiently to warrant lugging water around with me.

As you have a thing for people using your images, I found this one of you wearing your new overshoes

Sorry I couldn't find one of you on your bike!
