    Mad for it.
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.
  • Love it, me.

Anyone know when the next one's on?

    TdU starts soon.

I struggle to like it. I think I've got to the bottom of it.

It has no narrative or place in the season narrative other than it's a race in jan.

By the time qatar comes around we're watching the flat classic favourites test each other out.

After that every race is part of that broader season story.

    TdU just doesn't.

    But to the OP. Yes.

Never really thought about that before, but I'd agree.
Perhaps it to do with the "rhythm of things", too? I can't think of any music I like that doesn't have peaks and troughs, to some degree - and the peaks have a greater impact because of the troughs.
Same with the seasons - while we're meant to be freezing our knackers off, grumbling about not riding as much as we'd like to and arguing about sweary champions/fallen idols, perhaps we're not meant to be seeing the pros banging on about terrible heat in brilliant sunshine whilst holding a joey.

    I'll still watch it, though.
