Mud X or Spesh Storm 29er Tyres

Hi All,

Is anyone running either Bontrager Mud X or Specialized Storm mud tyres on 29" rims?

What are they like?

I know they are both 2" tyres but what do they measure in real life?

I've not got too much clearance at the back so I am after something a bit skinny but not as skinny as a cross tyre.

I've run both in 26" flavour. The Mud X comes up smaller than the Storm. I'd say the Storm has more ultimate grip in the mud but the Mud X is slightly faster rolling.

I'm using Mud-X at the moment. They are very narrow and give excellent straight line traction but bugger all lateral grip for cornering. They do cut through the slop pretty well with minimal drag. They are also very thin so puncture easily and I have to run 40psi to avoid pinch flats.
I used Bontrager XR4's last winter and to be honest other than drag I think they are better in every way even in really sloppy conditions.
