This ^^^^^^ You wont go wrong with any of the latest Shimano brakes they really are brilliant. Shimano have really upped there game over the last couple of years and in my opinion have no equal for all round performance.

But he should still look at those 2 sites. If budget is tight, they're an option.

...or Shimano M596 from bike-discount.de and be done with it.
  • +1 for shimano M596, they are great price with excellent stopping power.

Although they are a little on the heavy side the technology has trickled down from their higher end kit, I can't recommend them enough, by far the best bang for your bucks.

never had any issues when working on the current formula brakes. (Oro on). earlier ones yes bleeding was a bit fun.

if you have the bleed kit and are aware of any issues (normally in the manual) like the o ring under the bleed screw.

  • Thank you will have a look will I need the cables and disks to or do I just use mine I got on now?
  • Use your disks you have on already , the brake my mate got from crc came all fixed together ( lever , tube ,and calliper ) pre bled , also it comes with extra olives and bits in case you need to shorten the hydrolic tubes .
  • What does +1 mean sorry?

It kinda means me too or another vote for whatever was suggested
