MTB in Loughborough area.

I move to Loughborough with work at the begining of Feb and wondered what the mtb'ing was like over that way.

Work will keep me there for about 3 years so I would like to get out, mainly on weeknights for a few local rides. I was there today looking at Accommodation and spotted a bike shop in town on the way through. What are the bike shops like over there?

Plenty of xc routes around that area Bradgate park,Copt oak,Whitwick woods nothing to technical few cheeky paths not to bad just get a o/s map of the area soon be able to tag a route together.If you can get a bit further out you have got Ticknal,Cannock,Sherwood and the Peaks only an hour up the road,plenty to keep you busy for 3 years.
Bike shops i know nothing of,never used any in that area.

Thanks for the reply. Im sure I will come up with something, memory map and a GPS will be a good way to start!

I hope to get a bit done in the Peaks while I'm there, keep meaning to get a ride in there but never got round to it.

Theres Loads a bit further up in Derbyshire! Ashover, Peak district when you look there are a lot of routes and some good/bad hills to go up and down!
