Hi,

The cones on my rear Hope Pro II appear to be loose - I know some play is acceptable but these seem slightly beyond that.

Is it an easy job to tighten these or is it a LBS jobbie? Can anyone link me to any words/manuals on the matter?

Cheers!

They don't have cones. They have cartridge bearings.
Have you looked on Hope's website? Rebuild video.

Well that would be why on my quick inspection last night I couldn't see any obvious cones. I'll take a peek - thanks.

Aye, they're cartridge bearings, and you'll probably need some new ones. I use Katec in Edinburgh.

On Ebay as well. Excellent bearings.

Merlin came in at like 22 quid for a set so already purchased from there - there was one I spotted for 19.99 from EBay but I like the Merlin guys so not fussed.

The video mentioned above seems straight forward enough, so going to get serious on it all over the weekend.
