The young girl on her bike has a magic bell and she wishes to be back in her grandparents house in scotland. You will note the programme is australian and the scottish accents for her grandparents :shock: ...........well im surprised scotland didnt declare war on australia over them.

You will never hear worse attempts at scottish accents ever.

    Apart from the odd Indo-Scottish accents, the biggest conflict for me is that the granddaughter'and grandfather must only be separated by 2 years.

    Gruesome, but there's fierce competition in the category, and you wouldn't mess with Mel Gibson, would you?
    Personally I'm rather proud of my bad Scottish accent Shrek impersonation: "that'll doo, Donkey, that'll doo"

    Ah. Mike Myers. So, I Married An Axe Murderer as a contender?

    Pretty much par for the course in racial stereotypes. Would be similar for any Country and not worth getting upset about. In fact, I usually find it funny.
    None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

    Or Scots doing Spanish. :wink:
    Actually, Sean Connery doing any accent.

    Leads me on. People were pillocking Russell Crowe for his English accent in Robin Hood yet never mentioned any failings in his Spanish accent in Galdiator. Why?

  • Connery can't even do a good Scottish accent!

    I don't care whether it's bad or not, it just makes me laugh.

    In fairness to Myers, I think there is/was a strong element of parody to his Scottish accents - I'm pretty certain his parents are Scottish

    That's what I thought too but they were from Liverpool. The accent was based on people he knew.
    From Wikipedia*.
    "That year Myers also starred in So I Married an Axe Murderer which garnered a cult following. The characters in the movie were based on people Myers knew growing up in the Bridlewood section of Scarborough."

    But at least when he does it, it is intentionally funny.

    * I know, I know.

    What I love about that video clip is the stereotypes, that every Scottish man walks around playing the bagpipes and every home has tartan wall paper.
