I originally thought it said AG2R to finish and thought it was yet more bad news for the sport!
I got further confused by the reference to Dutch mountains. Are these where flying pigs live?0 -
It'll still be decode on the Hill.
Just means the winner has longer to get his hands up and show off his sponsor. It's not so much about winning, I just hate losing.0 -

Here's the new route: http://www.amstel.nl/evenementen/amstel ... rijd/route
Last lap is basically the Worlds route, with an etra climb but with the finish at the same site. Having been to both the change is welcome as there is more space at the new location. And as has been mentioned, lots more space for hospitality tents.
Takes the race to 251km with 33 hills, making a total of over 4000m of climbing.

Both the change of the finish location and that extra loop make it an easier race with a broader range of riders with a chance for the win*. The finish is further from the top of the Cauberg and as least as significantly, the finish is a lot further away from the Keutenberg than it used to be, a much harder climb.
*insert compulsory line saying it is the riders who decide the race, not the route..0 -
