Well here is my first ever road bike a Felt f95 2013 which I must admit the Monster Green colour is what caught my eye :-)

Sorry about the seat as I am in the process of testing some out.

I must add that I have had to change the riding position to fit around my disability (slight walking and my right doesn't straighten fully). I was determand to get a road bike as my hybrid wasn't doing it for me lol

I must also say my local Hargroves store is Fareham has been amazing with helping fit the bike around me so I can get the best from it.

So far it is pretty standard apart from the Stem, Seat and I have also added an extra set of levers to the bars.

All comments welcome and any suggestions that may help me would be great :-)

Cheers

Neil.

I do love the colour and already thinking about upgrading the groupset, even though the Sora is up to the job I don't enjoy it lol.

I don't want to spend mega money on my first bike so was think about just upgrading to 105 stuff.

Ride the sora through winter, you say it's your first road bike, just enjoy it as it is for now, get used to how it rides and enjoy it, worry about upgrades later (apart from saddle, that's important). Apart from the shifters is 105 worth the extra 3/400£ to upgrade, I don't know as never ridden it but I wouldn't be too sure.

I do plan to use the Sora for a while but it's not as smooth as I would like it to be. I only said about upgrading to 105 from what other people have said and its not mega money. Any suggestions welcome :-).

They'll see you coming on that!

Ride the Sora till it has worn out, you've paid for it and knowing that each ride is a few miles closer to a better groupset will motivate you to ride more.

Maybe think about upgrading wheels/tyres first, you'll get more noticeable benefits from this than changing the gruppo.

As robklancs says, wait till Spring before making any upgrades; it's tempting to just put them on due to excitement and expectation, especially when you have nice parts ready to be fitted! But, with the weather like it is, you don't want to get all that winter horribleness in your shiny new components.

What would be the benefits of doing that ??, sorry might be silly question :-).

Easier climbing with lighter wheels, maybe better ride quality. Tyres give lower weight, lower rolling resistance, better grip and sometimes better ride quality (obviously dependant on what ones you get)

    Road - Dolan Preffisio
    MTB - On-One Inbred

I have no idea what's going on here.

I have the standard Vittoria Zaffiro Slick, 700c x 23c fitted at present, they seem to grip quite well with all this rubbish weather :-).
