So. The cream de la cream of American cyclists have more or less imploded on themselves and are involved in various degrees of naval gazing.

Who's gonna be flying the stars and stripes in the peloton for the next 5 years.

Is it just Phinney?

Tejay is twice the exiting rider than Phinney. Phinney will be the king of TT's, though.

And there are others on the up.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.
  • Also:

he of the 'Oh, Cadel punctured did he?' moment, Van Garderen

    Andrew Talansky

I expect great things from Joe Dombrowski and Ian Boswell, particularly Joe D

Otherwise, its the work horses like Ted King and Timmy Duggen

+1 Talansky although I am not so sure about Vaughter talent spotting skills anymore.

Dombrowski is meant to be decent, now at Sky. He won the Giro-Bio

Yep - and took 4th behind Gesink on the Mount Baldy queen stage of the Tour of Cali. Impressive for a 20 year old.

25 now, but I think Peter Stetina is about to have a good year. Hopefully see him up near the front in some of the bigger week long stage races, and one dayers.

Jacob Rathe should be among Garmin's stronger cobbles riders this year too.

I reckon Talanskey is the one to watch - really impressed me last year and has all the tools to win GTs.
  • Never mind Wiggins v Froome and the Tour speculations, I reckon there's going to be trouble at t'mill at the Tour with Cuddles and TJ...

Cuddles gave an interview in which he seemed to be trying to convince himself that he would be the unquestioned leader and Tejay would be working for him. Tejay on the other hand seems to be of the view that he'll be allowed to go for his own chances and wont expect to have to wait up for Cuddles if he falls off the back
