Tour leaders jerseys

OK, dumb question...
Leaving aside the jerseys presented on the podiums, how does the supply of leaders jerseys work? - Maillot Jeune, Maillot Vert etc. With need to provide the correct logos for the following days racing and different sizing - Contador to Greipel. Who provides these? The race organisers? Do they have a stock of different sizing covering all the team logos?

  • The GT race organisers supply the jerseys. There's a truck that forms part of the race support caravan with a stack of each leader's jersey in different sizes and with every team's main logo on the front.

They have a blank space on the jersey where they print the logo on.

Here's an occasion when they forgot to do it:

  • I thought for the GT's they had a stack already printed up? But for the smaller races, they whipped out the iron?

They get printed on in the big truck you described earlier, they don't have them already done.

Feck me, I thought profligacy ruled at the GTs. My bad.

Well, who would print up a leader's jersey with Rabobank on it?

it's easier to take a jersey in each size plus a printing machine that it is 20 odd teams plus all the other sizes and every jersey around from town to town

that is true, I noticed last year that Monton had Europcar polka dot jersey for sale a day before Voekler won.
