Ive just got myself a pair of sidi ergo 2 road shoes and I'm sat here scratching my head over how to put the cleats on? My first question is what the small piece of adhesive sand paper is for? Second, there is a small screw and thread in the middle of the triangle of threads for the main screws for the cleat, I believe it is for if you are using look keo pedals but I'm not sure?? I'm using standard shimano road cleats.

Any help and advice would be great :)

  • Hi, the adhesive sandpaper is for positioning on the sole of the shoe under the cleat in order that it can create a firm contact between sole and cleat. The little centre screw is for securing the memory insert part of a Look Keo cleat so you can disregard it (or switch pedals).....

Been using Sidis for 10 years....nothing better
  • Then why do they only ever include one piece of sandpaper with their shoes!

I just throw it away, it'll increase stack height and have never had a problem with cleats slipping.

Have you got the adapter for the shimano cleats?
