Looking for some advice regarding which lock to buy. I recently had my bike stolen and keen to protect its replacement from the same fate. The bike will be kept in a swipe card entry cycle shed between 8.30-16.30 while i'm in work. (My previous bike was not stolen from here).
Does anyone have any suggestions? Are there any particular D-Locks that I should avoid?
I've been looking at these two;

Would either of these be sufficient?

    I've had two of the Kryptonite locks (one for home, one for work) and it does the job. My bike's not been nicked but I don't think anyone's tried.

    I'm not sure how good the cable is that comes with it, it might be easy to snip with bolt croppers but I've not tried. It's better than nothing for running through your front wheel though.

    One of the locks I had was an older version which I bought a good few years ago and it jammed up. I sent it back to Kryptonite just before Christmas and they sent me a new one under their lifetime warranty :D

    Abus and Kryptonite both make good locks. So do Pragmasis - made in Britain. I have locks from all three companies out in my shed. All feel very secure, but even so you need to go for their higher end models

    Had similar experience after buying 'high security' lock (according to ratings) from Halfords. It was rubbish.

    Anyway, brought one of the below, after strong recommendations from my knowledgeable local cycle shop & have had no problems locking to fixed railings etc.

    Thanks for the advice. Ive ordered one of the Kryptonite locks recommended. As i say the bike will be locked in a swipe card entry cycle shed during the day and will only be used to commute to work so hopefully it will remain safe. Touch wood.
