Hi there
i got into Mountain biking in 2010 did not know anything about the sport or bike´s in general and ended up buying a Mongoose tyax elite 2011. It has served me well in the mountains and on the trail although the review´s i since saw on it has been harsh.
For a while now i been looking for a new bike or to upgrade my Tyax.
There´s only really 4 brand´s here where i live and all the shops are very overpriced from what i see online but it´s
Specialized
Scott
Trek
Mongoose
(Cannondale can be ordered from the shop also)
I need a bike that can pretty much do it all,i need to ride 20km to the mountain and 20 km back so the bike has to handle paved roads/hills as well as the Trail/AM . Also in the winter it would be used on streets.
the bikes i been really thinking about are
Specialized Camber 29er 2013
Specialized Carve pro 2013
Mongoose Teocali comp 2012/2013
all of those bikes cost around 1600£
or i could just use the money to upgrade my Tyax
i´m still pretty new to this and have never been on a full suspension bike
i´m hoping there´s someone out there who know´s more about it and could give me some advice on if i should get one or stick to a hardtail.
i have been to the shops who sell these bikes but... Specialized store only has like Enduro/DH bikes there with Racers so i could not give them a try.
Thx!

ive just bought the new specialized camber 2013 model. managed to get it for £1200 instead of £1500 at my local bike shop. Had a quick blast around the tracks and i'm loving it at the moment.0
