When using the bike stand and fettling a bike fitting with Marathon Winter tyres; do NOT use your hand to slow the wheel down.

Further important safety tip, don't do this on both wheels.

    Just as well they aren't Ice Spiker tyres then (pedantry from the other thread!)........
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    One obvious place springs to mind. He would have to be RE-E-EALLY into his fettling for it to work though

    The ultimate would be to try to do that on a fixed and in panic try to stop it by grabbing the chain.............
