Anyone out there runngn NN's tubeless na Hardtail??
am sruggling to find a sweetspot with pressures on the tyres, they either seem to feel boat like wallowy or pinging off everything, they are evo triple nano compound,
have tried various pessures from 20-40 but just cant seem to find that right pressure!! my oldhutchinsons were spt on at 30f 35 r,
anyone any advicebefore i ditch them????

Yep ... until my wheels fell apart and had to be returned! I didn't even get one ride on them set up tubeless - currently hanging from the workstand and swimming in sealant! All I can say though is I run 20 psi or less, I find anything else just too hard (and I do XC). Could be something to do with me always pumping my tyres up by hand, then I got a track pump, put 25 psi in, and they were rock hard! Can't say I've ever noticed the wallowy feeling, but they do ping the odd time.

What the wheels your using and rim strip? Shouldn't matter is HT or full Suss
Did they seated on wheel think I got my up to 80psi till they poped on rim.

I got Nobby Nics on Bontrager comps wheel and on a HT

Did have a problem with Nic UST (universal sustem tubless) the bead was to big for rim strip and keeped popped off the rim at about 60PSI as it needs the UST rim strip to hold the square bead in place. In end I just change UST tyre to Nobby Nics folding bead.

Have had then low as 15psi before but stick about 22 and should go out on road pump to 30psi
I only ride 'em, I don't know what makes 'em work!
  • They are on American classic tubeless rims,
Hardtailers generally run a little more pressure to bouncers due to not having the sus to take the impacts etc.!
What do you chaps weigh?? I forgot to mention I'm 100kg without my pack, say 110 All in?? 20 just seemed So wallowy out back!

    That's a point I'm only doing XC no jumps weigh 11.5st - 12st
I have to look Google American classic tubeless rims.

I'm 70ish kilos, run anything from 17-22psi, and I do the odd jump. This is with Stans Crest rims (before with stock carrera ddm wheels). Remember most rims have different max psi ratings - mine are 40psi for a 2.2" tyre.
  • So am in the right ball park pressure wise then, something around 28ish, will sort them out pre ride saturday and see hoe they feel as the ride has a mixture of pretty much every type of trail surface! ;-)
