These - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=67249
or these - http://www.merlincycles.com/bike-shop/m ... edals.html
I have both having just switched from flats and they are both superb.0 -
^ are heavy and plasticky, I'd go for 540s or XTs in none trail as the cage offers nothing but weight IMO0

Wow the xt trails are 50g heavier, huge difference  They're not plasticky at all, both are exceptionally high quality I thought, especially the xt's. Moving from flats its nice to have the platform, and for the sake of 50g unless you're building a light bike, it'll make fook all difference. If you're that bothered, have a dump before you ride :roll:0

Shimano M520, top value, and work as well as much more expensive versions.0

I've had many pairs of M520 pedals and they have never let me down.
However, I do like the smoother look of M540s and if you can find a set of them at around £30 or so, I'd be inclined to chose them over M520s.
Also had some XTR spds many years ago and I can't say I can notice any difference.0
