FSA Campy 45 headsets...what does the cap size mean?

I've got a 2011 Specialized Camber comp with an FSA headset.
Obtaining the bearings for it was a real problem - people kept selling me 45 degree campy bearings that didn't have a large enough chamfer on them.
In the end I bought a headset on Chain Reaction.

I couldn't work out what the top cap options were so I went for the 8mm to see what would arrive.
The bearings fitted but some of the spacers didn't.
I've just ordered a 15mm top cap version and will see what happens with that.
Any better ideas? I don't understand why obtaining bearings for this is so complicated.

The dimension refers to the height of the top cap, so the 15mm is like having the 8mm plus a 7mm spacer. 8mm is about the slimmest you can get. fWIW there's only one type of Campagnolo bearing standard.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Yep, Campag Hiddenset is a unique set up (sometimes called Italian standard, or IS42), so must be used with the right bearings.0
