Hi all, I've wandered across from the road forums where I usually hang out, I could do with a little advice please, with the bad weather rolling in I have decided to dust down my rusty mtb do keep biking over the snowy days.
I have an old carrera with three rings at he front and 9 speed rear cassette , the shifters have x7 written on them. Can somebody please advise on a very cheap chain that will fit this setup, it's hardly going to get any hammer and the bike is shagged, just want to keep it going over winter

To be a little more precise. This Shimano one or This SRAM one. I'm a Shimano guy myself but either would be fine.0

KMC are better - £10.75 on Ebay. And come with a missing link. Shimano use a rubbish pin joining system.

cooldad is right KMC noticeably better and longer lasting than Shim or SRAM. Plus the KMC speedlink is easier to use than the SRAM link. Which is good when your fingers are wet and numb.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0
