Normally I would be delighted to wake up to snow. I absolutely love it (not to ride in obviously).

The last 8 months haven't been normal though and I am completely sick of warm rain so I was pleased to be able to get out this morning and have a nice dry ride.

Come on elderone, get the winter woolies on and get out there. Myself and my wife went out this morning as it was coming down quite heavy, was a bit cold but we still enjoyed it. ( though it was too cold for our usual coffee stop at canal central )
    SOLITUDE. It's not for everyone.

Was group riding on top of the valley into a snowy head/crosswind which wasn't very pleasant. It was too wet to settle though luckily :)

3c, blowing a gale and a bit of wet snow in Berkshire. Less wind, colder but sunny tomorrow, so I shall be out as soon as the frost is off the roads in the morning.

Looks like about 1C tommorrow with light sleet/snow mid afternoon, so I'll have to leave earlier rather than later. At least the roads are dry, so there should not be any ice around.

Going for a bit of a clothing gamble. Aldi compression top, then base layer T shirt, then Lidl long sleeve jersey with a waterproof in a pocket. Altura shorts with Lidl leg warmers and 2 pairs of socks.

Could be a nice easy 25 miler as long as I don't die of hypothermia

    Fingers crossed!

Annnnd, it's snowing. Ride is postponed, might get a short one later, or I'll just be commuting next week. Grrr, I want to get a long ride in, it's been too long.

It's alright in East Anglia a little bit cold, but its snow free! just managed my longest ride so far at 46 miles and the only thing suffering from cold was my fingers!
  • No snow but freezing cold, 45 mile around Yorkshire Dales this morning, glad I put my ski gloves on...
