    Eye-opening, for sure.

    Reminds me of the huge glittering offices of many charities and organisations in Geneva when I lived there. Based in probably the most expensive place in the world, paying huge salaries and benefits in Swiss francs to an army of workers, I have heard figures as low as 10% of your donation making it to the sharp end.

    Choose your charity wisely, and check how much of your donation actually counts. Medecins sans Frontieres is one example of an excellent one.
