Biggest rack bag?

Think I can get away without the panniers I've been using for a while. Looking for the biggest possible bag that sits atop a rack.

Looking for as much space as possible - about as much as you get in those Nike gym bags, not fussed about compartments and don't want one that has drop down panniers. Also needs to be cheap. I've seen some Altura ones in Evans but they're slightly smaller than I'd like.

You could always put a gym bag atop your rack and use bungee cords to fix it there.

Ortled used to make quite a sizeable rack top bag.

What I do when I want to travel light and without panniers is use a Carradice Super-C saddle bag (23 liters) and a bar bag. Carradice also makes the Longflap Camper saddlebag which s slightly larger, at 24 litres. I have travelled, touring, for a week at a time with this combination - B&B, not camping - and had no problems. And it is true that if you pack for a week, you've packed for a year.
