Is my bike safe to ride?

Hey
I had an issue with my rear wheel a few weeks ago where the rear wheel quick release and wheel hub failed causing the wheel to come up through the rear triangle bending the brake rotor against the inside of the brake caliper.
I've just got a new wheel and when fitting it into the frame i noticed that when the quick release isn't tightened the hub axle doesn't sit into the drop out. When the qr is tightened the rear triangle flexes so that the hub sits in the drop outs as it should.
I cant remember if it was like this before but i don't think it was.
Its a steel frame so I''m a bit worried that when the wheel came out the rear triangle was bent. I was hoping to ride tomorrow but not sure if it will be ok.
What do you think?
