Campag cassette rear derailleur compatibility
Hi,
I currently have a centaur 10 speed short cage RD with a 12-25 cassette and a compact 50-34 chainset. I'm doing the Lakeland loop in April so was looking to buy a veloce 12-29 cassette to help me. Will this be compatible with my current RD or will I need medium or long cage?
Appreciate and advice.
Thanks,
Wilky.

ahh, thanks. I did contemplate getting a Miche 12-27. Would you stay clear of Miche cassettes?0

Personally I'm not keen, but that's based on reading comments online, not actual experience.0

I've been running a Miche 12-27 on my Wilier for just under a year... done about 4k miles with no problems, good shifting.“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

Campag cassettes do shift better for longer even Miche accept that but the shifting on a Miche cassette is perfectly acceptable for a long time. Tifosi bikes use them and the users have little complaint.
For a short loop why not use the Miche cassette it cheap after all.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0 -
For the record I got the 12-29 campag cassette. Works a treat.0
