Hi i am new to road cycling, and purchased a Felt F6 Apex 2012, it came with a SRAM PG1050 10 Speed 11-26 Cassette, but i am struggling up some hills!
I have read that due to the compact derailer i can only fit upto a 11-28T cassette, is this correct, without changing anything else?
Many Thanks

28 is the official max, but you may be able to get a 30T to work. Cheapest option would be a Tiagra 12-30 cassette. However, 34-28 is a pretty low gear and should be low enough for most areas. Struggle on for a month or two and your fitness will improve rapidly. By the way, http://www.gear-calculator.com is a good tool for assessing the effects of different gearing ratios.0

Thanks, i will look into it...love the bike so far, just need the fitness, especially as i've agreed (yet to signup) to do the Pearson 150 Sportive in May!
