I havnt uploaded anything from my garmin since 30th oct 12, Tried to do it this evening but it says there is no rides to upload. I have updated the comms driver and can send a course to the Garmin but cant get any info from it. The rides are there but they will not upload to garmin-connect or to strava!
Any ideas would be appreciated.

  • I had a similar issue some time back, when trying to upload several weeks of rides, the problem was that I had reached my storage limit of 150 rides on the garmin, this meant that the rides that I was trying to download hadn't been saved, deleting saved rides overcame the issue but the rides were lost forever, I now delete all rides every few months.

Try deleting a couple of rides then start the garmin, then try uploading to see if issue resolved.

    Good luck.
  • Tried that turboslave but its not worked either. Can i default the unit and start again I wonder?

Try copying ride file(s) to your desktop and upload file from there

I had this happen last week... I hadn't bother to upload any rides for months, the ride limit on the unit hadn't been exceeded. The ride history was viewable via the unit. I establish that a number of the history saved files were corrupt.

The solution was to delete the files via windows explorer.

I have the url for the instructions on my home laptop.. I will post up when i get back home..

  • Hi Paul, soz to hear that didn't work for u, do send garmin an e-mail through their website, I have done this twice and they have been very helpful. Other than take it out of the box and turn it on I am pretty much a novice with these things so we have surpassed my helpfulness on this matter.

    Good luck.

    No bother, thanks though.

I have looked at the website given in the previous post and might just default the unit but I have sent a mail to the Garmin Customer support and will wait to hear from them before I do.
    Thanks
