Cateye Strada issues

Hi all
Noticed last night that my cateye was managing to record a speed of 13 mph while the bike was resting against the wall.. I then took the unit out of the bracket and put it on the other side of the room to see it if was related to the sensor but it still managed to go 13 mph. Woke up this morning and it had gone a mile during the night in 18 minutes...
Anyone experience similar issues?
