Giro d'Italia road closures

Hi,
I'm thinking of venturing over the the Giro this year and was wondering if anyone knew what time do they close the road before the stage? The day before or earlier in the day?

Particularly thinking of the last 2 mountain stages

Any help greatly appreciated...

    I think it's the same day... but if you plan to do the climb by bike, you can go up whenever you want.

    I remember in 2007 the hill climb to Oropa, I went up as the PRO were practicing... I got passed by Di Luca and Pellizotti whilst they were chatting... my efforts to keep up proved pointless.
    More annoyingly, I was passed by Francesco Moser, 55 at the time and still very lean.
    Even more annoyingly, Moser was together with Gianni Motta, 64 at the time...

    All very embarrassing... :oops:

    Thanks for the info. Should've said, I would be travelling by car
