You've just got to grind them out at this time of year.
It was nice to start in the sun, ride up in to the fog and then come out above the fog today, but then it was back in to it and in the end I was just glad to get home, roll on spring!
  • Feels good though doesn't it?

I only did 25 miles today and that's knackered me out!
Hills are like half life - they wait until you're 50% recovered from one before hitting you in the face with the next.

Did 63 miles on Saturday (had to get 100Km). It's a distance I cover regularly, and more, in summer time. The last 15 miles were agony, totally empty. But I keep telling myself, it's a start.

What took you so long? New Years Day was the day to ride, bootiful it was.

I've managed about 130miles (over several rides) so far in '13. Making the most of the mild-patch before snowageddon takes hold.
  • New Year's Day was amazing, managed to get halfway up Caerphilly mountain on Sunday as well but it got pretty misty and I didn't have any lights on so thought I best head back! Heading out tomorrow morning, and hopefully Sunday... been hard so far though, did very little since October so dragging the belly around is brutal!
