Hi,

I'm after some advice please about a potential bike purchase. I've been looking at the Kuota Korsa Carbon which is £1,349.

I want to upgrade from my existing alloy bike to a carbon but want to buy something with an Apex or Sram groupset as this is what I currently use. Maximum budget is £1,400 and the Kuota includes free professional fitting.

I'm 97kgs so what something robust, the planet x looks a ok but could be a bit flexy. Cannondale Supersix is nice but a bit common. The Kuota looksa bit rare and a bit "sexier".

Riding is club runs, sportives, charity stuff and commuting ( i will not be using this for communting).

Is the Kuota a good buy ? The bike fit must be worth at least £120 so i think its a pretty good deal.

Thanks

Cannondale common.....you mean its the best available at that price and hence the one that those in the know buy.

Its THE one to have in your budget. Lifetime warranty on the frame/forks too.

Try out the kuota and if you like it and can afford it then consider buying it. Do try out other bikes, the cannondale is not nessecarily the best for you and other manufacturers have similar warrantys to the cannondale. Don't take the word of brand fanboys as verbatim.

Love to know how you get on with the Kuota. Your'e not looking at buying from epic cycles near Ludlow are you? I've been checking out upgrades to carbon and like you I prefer to have some stand out.

I'm riding a Bianchi Via Nirone which I know is not the best bike for the money according to many, but I love the feel good factor that goes with it.
