    Funny that, Yes!

Noticed he appointed Chuck Yagel yesterday who with his some say "anti semetic" views is unlikely to want to brooch the more real problem with say Iran.

Maybe this is the distraction they need.

Russia and China as major nations on the UN security council will never sanction it, leaving just the UK and France so no legitamacy. Still never stopped us before.
  • Sounds like a bit of rabble rousing to me last year Syria confirmed - http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/24/world ... d=all&_r=0

Like Tim wand says Russia & China have confirmed they are against any action, but has never stopped us following/supporting the US with troops.
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.
  • Wow, that sounds so familiar. Guess that means we're off to Syria next then...

How many more foreign countries are we going to invade? North Korea next by any chance?

Funny how this only crops up in countries that have oil. Surprised the yanks haven't invaded Mexico.
I think i'm going to spark a rumour that there's oil in Zimbabwe.

Syria has a smaller proven reserve than the UK, fyi.
Afghanistan has an oil reserve of around 150 million barrels, compared to the UK which has around 2800.

If this really is about oil, we should go for Kazakhstan.

Yep, but you still have to drive oil pipelines through the damn place so its not necessarily about Afghan reserves. FYI - UK oil is not crude oil, we do not produce crude oil.

Isn't any unrefined oil referred to as crude oil? And don't we refer to Brent Crude as one of the key indicators of oil prices?
