Seized seat post

I've been given an old gt lts by a friend for a fun bike. Just one problem the seat post is seized in the frame!!! Any ideas/solutions please? Thanks for any info.

    Try soaking it with a liberal application of WD40 overnight and then turning it with the largest stilson ( pipe wrench) you can find. If it still will not move you could heat the downtube with a blow torch or hot air gun but it will bugger up the paint finish. Good Luck.

    Read Sheldons, we had an ally post stuck in ally frame and used Ammonia as he suggests, soaked for 12 hours, slipped out easy peasy.....
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    if it it is steel frame, then ammonia solution is your friend - search for it on youtbue and on retrobikes.
